Rs 2 lakh for victims' kin
Six students who were taken out of the bus were rushed to Dhankar Hospital at Gannaur declared 'brought dead'.
BALI KUTUBPUR (SONEPAT): A case has been registered against the driver in connection with the school bus mishap and bodies of the dead handed over to their families.
The police were immediately informed about the mishap, but by the time anyone from the police or administration reached the spot, all students had been pulled out.
At least eight students who were taken out of the bus were rushed to Dhankar Hospital at Gannaur.
Six were declared 'brought dead'.
As the actual number of students on board the bus could not be ascertained for more than four hours, police and irrigation department divers, as also the villagers, kept searching for more bodies. Army divers were later called in from Ambala and Rohtak.
Haryana CM Bhupinder Singh Hooda announced a Rs 2 lakh for the families of the deceased.
